IC
Character Name: Conan Edogawa/Shinichi Kudo
Canon: Detective Conan
AU/OC/Previous Game: Nope, canon. Though if it's all right, Conan will be aware that Thusia's canon!Kaito died "in canon" before him.
Age: 17
Appearance: Conan has the physical body and appearance of a 7 year old boy, with brown hair and blue eyes. He wears a variety of outfits, most of which are a lot more stylish or complex than most young boys would wear, though his classic signature look is a blue suit jacket with a red bow tie and blue shorts. He also wears a large pair of glasses, though he doesn't actually need them.
Cause of Death: Shot in the head during a case.
Impact of Death: He won't believe it at first, and how long he'll stay in denial depends on the sort of interaction he has with castmates and others after arrival. But once he comes to terms that it is at least a real possibility, it'll mess with his head a bit- there are still so many things he needs to do and say, and how can this really be what comes after death, supernatural things like this don't exist, etc etc minor brain implosion. But once he gets over the initial 'oh fuck did I really die' phase, he'll shove it aside as just one possible theory of many- he could be dreaming, or in a coma, or drugged, or this could be some really elaborate scheme, etc. and throw himself into finding out as much as he can about... well, everything, to look for ways out and also not think about the possibly being dead thing because he's going to do his damnedest to never fully accept that as the truth until he has conclusive evidence.

Character Info: Shinichi Kudo is a Japanese high school detective prodigy... or he was, until one fateful day he was poisoned by a couple of men in black after he witnessed them negotiating a criminal transaction. The experimental poison was meant to kill him without leaving any trace that he was poisoned, but instead it shrank his body to that of a child's. To keep his survival a secret from those men in black while he searched for a cure, Shinichi took on the alias Conan Edogawa and moved in with his childhood friend Ran Mouri and her father Kogorou, a terrible detective.
In his time as Conan, Shinichi has encountered numerous murders and crimes, which he solved through Kogorou by putting him to sleep with a tranq dart and using a voice changer to imitate his voice. Kogorou grew famous on Conan's deductions, and over time Conan learned more about the ones who poisoned him. They were two members of a notorious underground crime syndicate known simply as the Black Organization. Although the organization is highly dangerous and his knowledge of it is far from complete, Conan continues to pursue them when he can, in the hopes of returning to normal and bringing down the organization once and for all.
Shinichi is a highly skilled detective, with great powers of observation and deduction. He has many other skills too, from physical prowess and soccer ability to the use of firearms, as well an expansive knowledge of trivia that he uses when solving cases. He is drawn to mysteries and in the end he's always able to solve them, following the formula that there is only one truth. As Shinichi, he's showy about his deductions and has some dramatic tendencies; he always reveals his deductions in a way that leads to a dramatic climax. As Conan he's gained a bit more discretion when it comes to showing off, but it's still hard for him to resist voicing his thoughts and he often slips up without even realizing he's doing it.
Shinichi has some strong morals. He believes death is never the answer, whether it's murder or suicide. As a detective who often solves murders and other crimes alongside the police, he's pretty much in line with upholding the law as well, namely when it comes to crime. He isn't cold-hearted, however. Though he sees a lot of death and is capable of distancing himself emotionally, he never makes light of death, and it still saddens him to see when a person feels they must resort to murder, as well as the repercussions it always has on others.
When it comes to his loved ones and friends, Shinichi is highly protective. He's put his life on the line many times to protect others, and the main reason he keeps his real identity a secret is to protect those close to him. However, Shinichi isn't so great at actually making friends or including others in what he sees as his personal problems. He often tries to shoulder everything himself, even when it may be too much for him.
It's pertinent to mention that as Conan, Shinichi pretends to be a small boy, which leads to a life that is distinctly separate from his life as Shinichi. His relationship to Ran is one of protective older sister and young brother rather than friends (or potential lovers), and Conan can't show off or interfere with "adult" conversations. Since he can't reveal that he's a genius detective, he'll often encourage others to come to the same conclusions as he did by pointing out evidence in a kid-like or innocent manner. At the same time, he still often acts too mature for his supposed age and will hastily backtrack if anyone notices by redoubling the harmless kid act. He doesn't like having to pretend to be Conan, but he's long since grown accustomed to it, and 'Conan' has become something of its own identity.
Abilities (after Powercap): Conan's got a lot of skills, but nothing superhuman. So N/A, I suppose.
Items Brought In: His "Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes", which allows him a super strong kick when activated, and his stun-gun wristwatch which includes a built-in flashlight.

IC Survey:
**Note: I'll be answering these questions twice, once for Shinichi as he would respond as Conan, and once for Shinichi as himself.
Introduce yourself in a few sentences.
(Conan) My name is Conan Edogawa. I live with Ran-neechan and her dad. He's a detective, and he solves lots of mysteries. He's a really famous detective, you've probably heard of him... hahaha...
(Shinichi) Shinichi Kudo, a detective. You mean you haven't heard of me? A lot of people know my name since I've helped out in a number of police investigations.
Describe yourself physically.
(Conan) Uh... I'm not very tall yet, haha... I don't think there's a lot worth mentioning.
(Shinichi) Pretty average... brown hair, blue eyes, I keep in shape well enough.
What was your childhood like?
(Conan) Well, my p- uh, I mean, I'm a kid right now, so... this is it! Hahaha...
(Shinichi) My parents weren't always around, so I did a lot of reading. I played a lot of soccer too, but it's no fun when the other players had no skill. So I practiced by myself for the most part until I got older. There's not a lot to tell, really.
Who is most important to you, and why?
(Conan) A-Ah, well... Ran-neechan, I guess. W-Why? Because... she's nice, and she takes care of me.
(Shinichi) My most important person...? That's easy. It's also not any of your business.
What's your biggest pet peeve?
(Conan) When Ojisan picks me up by my shirt. That's cruelty to kids, you know.
(Shinichi) Showy criminals. Committing crimes isn't a game, there are serious repercussions involved. On the bright side, it makes it easier for me to catch the culprit. But still, it's irritating.
Do you consider yourself an optimist or a pessimist? Why?
(Shinichi & Conan) Neither. Well, if I had to pick one I'd say optimist. It's generally a good idea to keep the bright side of things in mind. But being too optimistic or too pessimistic can blind you to the facts and what they really mean.
Where, or how, did you learn your most important skills?
(Conan) You can learn a lot from TV, you know!
(Shinichi) Here and there. The learning process never stops.
Do you think world peace is possible?
(Conan & Shinichi) No. It's human nature. Everyone make mistakes, and many are driven to conflict and cruelty when they feel there is no other way to move forward. A peaceful world is a world without humanity.
Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
(Conan) Um, I try not to argue. Especially not with Ojisan, he can be mean when he's mad.
{Shinichi) Sometimes conflict can't be avoided. The truth is what's important.
What turns you on the most?
(Conan & Shinichi) E-Eh!?
Anything else you'd like to say?
(Conan & Shinichi) No thanks.
